Are you a proactive maintenance engineer looking for your next opportunity in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? We're working in close partnership with a well-established food production business near Ashford, Kent, to find a skilled Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer ready to step into a succession role and become an integral part of their growing team.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives on problem-solving, and takes pride in keeping production lines running smoothly and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and support with reactive repairs during production shifts
• Diagnose equipment faults and resolve issues to minimise downtime
• Maintain clear and accurate shift logs and maintenance records
• Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures and food hygiene standards
• Conduct risk assessments before carrying out maintenance tasks
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and help refine engineering processes
• Communicate effectively with the wider production and operations teams
• Report on parts usage and flag stock shortages to the Engineering Lead

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience in a similar maintenance engineering role, ideally within FMCG or food manufacturing
• Multiskilled - Electrical or Mechanical bias, with relevant engineering qualifications
• Good working knowledge of Window 10-based PC systems
• Hands-on fault-finding and repair experience (electrical, mechanical or PLC-related)
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
• Strong awareness of operational KPIs and engineering performance metrics
• Great communication skills and a proactive, team-first approach
