Mechanical Fitter

Due to continued expansion, we're recruiting an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our well established client.

Job Duties:

• Provide support to the Workshop Manager.
• Perform hydrotesting, painting, packing, and assembly tasks as required of products.
• Read and understand bespoke engineering drawings.
• Mechanical assembly of products consisting of structural components, pumps, motors, valves, manifolds, manipulators, specialist external equipment etc.
• Assisting with the build of fabricated assemblies.
• Using a variety of hand and power tools in assembly and quality assurance.
• Ensure production quality standards are upheld and delivery deadlines are consistently met.
• Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and make constructive recommendations.
• Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to Health and Safety procedures and policies.
• Demonstrate good housekeeping practices.
• Undertake upgrades and general maintenance across all company facilities as and when time permits.

Requirements:

• Apprentice trained or time served.
• City & Guilds level 2 or 3 in Engineering.
• Relevant Industry Experience.

Salary: GBP18.00 - GBP19.00 per hour + regular overtime available at premium rate.

Working hours: 06:55am 15:25pm Monday to Thursday and 06:55am 12:55pm on Fridays.

This is a Full time, Permanent position.
