Job summary

Rydon Maintenance Ltd is seeking an Electrician / Site Supervisor to split time between supervising two care home sites in Southend, Essex and actively performing trade duties. The role covers reactive repairs, PPMs, fault-finding and minor installations, with responsibilities for contractor oversight and documentation.

Experience in building maintenance (NHS or contractor) is preferred. A full UK driving licence is required as a company van is provided. Competitive benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Electrical qualifications to include: NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installations.
• 18th edition is required.
• Testing and Inspection 2391 is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Reactive maintenance and repairs such as power and lighting faults.
• Planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) including emergency lighting and fire alarm testing.
• Respond to breakdowns, fault-find and complete minor installations.
• Support with general building fabric repairs.
• Site inductions and contractor supervision.
