Job summary

Heidelberg Materials UK is seeking a Maintenance Electrician for our Whatley site to keep plant and equipment running safely and efficiently.

You will perform planned and reactive maintenance, diagnose faults, and support capital projects while adhering to safety standards and using SAP PM for maintenance records. This role requires hands-on expertise in electrical systems in an industrial setting and a proactive, team-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• Recognised electrical qualification is essential.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic experience in industrial settings.
• Proficient in maintenance management systems (e.g., SAP PM) and computer literacy.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing faults and carrying out electrical repairs on plant and equipment.
• Performing preventative and corrective maintenance to maximise operational reliability.
• Supporting plant inspections, maintenance shutdowns, and improvement projects.
• Assisting with the implementation and commissioning of capital projects.
• Maintaining compliance with Health & Safety, IMS, and site procedures.
• Liaising with supervisors and operational teams on technical and safety matters.
