Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent.
• City & Guilds Level 3 Electrical Installations.
• AM1 & AM2 qualifications.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• City & Guilds 2391 (Testing & Inspection).
• Experience in testing, inspection and certification.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out EICRs, testing and inspection.
• Perform PAT testing and emergency lighting testing.
• Install, maintain and repair electrical wiring, control systems and equipment.
• Diagnose faults and carry out electrical repairs across commercial and domestic properties.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Complete planned and reactive maintenance works.
• Mentor junior electricians and apprentices.
• Deliver toolbox talks and promote safe working practices.
• Ensure compliance with BS 7671 and Health & Safety requirements.
• Complete certification and job reports.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Senior Electrician to join our expanding team, covering commercial and domestic sites across Bristol and the South West.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified electrician with strong testing and inspection experience who is looking to take on a senior role, supporting and mentoring other engineers while delivering high-quality electrical maintenance, testing, and installation work.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs), testing, and inspection.
• Perform PAT testing and emergency lighting testing.
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, control systems, and associated equipment.
• Diagnose faults and carry out electrical repairs across commercial and domestic properties.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance works.
• Support, mentor, and coach junior electricians and apprentices.
• Deliver toolbox talks (TBTs) and promote safe working practices.
• Ensure all work complies with BS 7671 Wiring Regulations and Health & Safety requirements.
• Complete accurate certification and job reports using company systems.

Essential

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
• City & Guilds Level 3 Electrical Installations.
• AM1 & AM2 qualifications.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• City & Guilds 2391 (Testing & Inspection).
• Proven experience carrying out electrical testing, inspection, and certification.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable

• ECS Gold Card (or equivalent).
• IPAF and PASMA qualifications.
• City & Guilds 2377 PAT Testing qualification.
• City & Guilds Level 4 Design and Verification of Electrical Installations.
• Experience within commercial electrical maintenance, data infrastructure, or building services.
