Calibre Search is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to cover a portfolio of retail sites around Reading and the surrounding area. This mobile role focuses on planned maintenance, fault finding and reactive work, travelling between sites to keep electrical and related systems operating safely and efficiently.

You will perform scheduled PPMs, job repairs, and assist other engineers on larger maintenance projects while ensuring accurate documentation and timely updates in the Mercury system.

Qualificações

• Recognised electrical qualification and solid background in building/facilities maintenance.
• NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or Electrical Maintenance.
• Recognised electrical apprenticeship or equivalent.
• 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Experience in commercial, retail or facilities maintenance is advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out scheduled PPM activities across the allocated retail portfolio.
• Respond to reactive maintenance requests and complete repairs within timescales.
• Diagnose electrical faults and carry out remedial works.
• Assist fellow engineers with larger maintenance projects and general site requirements.
• Travel to other locations within the local site cluster when additional engineering support is required.
• Make sure equipment, tools and materials are suitable and ready for use.
• Complete job sheets, maintenance records and documentation accurately.
• Update the Mercury system with clear and timely information for each job.
• Work with client representatives and other contractors to maintain required standards.
• Ensure all work complies with procedures, KPIs and health & safety requirements.

A varied mobile maintenance role

A well-established Facilities Management operation is looking to add an experiencedMaintenance Electricianto its engineering team, covering a portfolio of retail sites throughout Readingand the surrounding area.

This is a mobile position suited to an electrician who enjoys working across different locations rather than being based at a single site. Alongside your core electrical responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to get involved with wider maintenance activities and support other engineers when required.

You will be responsible for keeping sites operating safely and efficiently by carrying out a mixture ofplanned preventative maintenance, fault finding, repairs and reactive worksacross electrical and associated mechanical systems.

The role

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out scheduled PPM activities across the allocated retail portfolio.


• Responding to reactive maintenance requests and completing repairs within the required timescales.


• Diagnosing electrical faults and carrying out remedial works where appropriate.


• Assisting fellow engineers with larger maintenance projects and general site requirements.


• Undertaking minor repairs and maintenance tasks as part of the wider facilities function.


• Travelling to other locations within the local site cluster when additional engineering support is required.


• Making sure equipment, tools and materials are suitable and ready for use.


• Completing job sheets, maintenance records and associated documentation accurately.


• Updating the Mercury system with clear and timely information throughout each job.


• Working alongside client representatives and other contractors to maintain the required standards.


• Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with relevant procedures, KPIs and health & safety requirements.


• Maintaining a professional approach when representing the business on client sites.

What you'll need

To be considered, you'll need a recognised electrical qualification and a solid background in building or facilities maintenance.

• 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations

Previous experience withincommercial, retail or facilities maintenancewould be advantageous.
