Job summary

Invictus Group in Blackburn is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer (Static) to join a static contract. The role is based in Blackburn with a Monday to Friday, 07:00–15:00, 37-hour week schedule.

You will carry out planned and reactive maintenance on electrical building services equipment, participate in the emergency call-out rota, and work in plant rooms and at height. Tools and PPE are provided to ensure safe, compliant operation.

Qualifications

• Requires full electrical qualifications to a minimum City & Guilds or equivalent.
• City & Guilds / NVQ in Electrical Installation or Maintenance is required.
• 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations knowledge is essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance as instructed by the Helpdesk; fault finding, testing, repairs and preventative maintenance of electrical building services equipment.
• Participate in the emergency call-out rota as required.
• Carry out tasks within plant room environments and at height using platforms and ladders; all access equipment and PPE provided.
• Keep and maintain all company issued tools in a safe and serviceable manner.

Electrical Engineer (Static) — Blackburn £41,000 - 37 hours a week

A leading FM provider has a need for an experienced Electrical Engineer to come and join a well-established static contract based in Blackburn. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company renowned for their internal progression, training and long term stability.

On offer is a competitive salary working Monday - Friday, 07:00 - 15:00, 37 hours per week.

• To carry out planned and reactive maintenance as instructed by the Helpdesk; including but not limited to fault finding, test, repair and preventative maintenance of electrical building services equipment
• To participate in the emergency call out rota as required
• To carry out tasks within typical plant room environments and at high level, working from platforms and ladders. All access equipment and PPE will be provided
• Keep and maintain all company issued tools in a safe and serviceable manner

As the role involves working on plant and equipment, it is essential to demonstrate a good working knowledge of general and emergency lighting, power distribution, heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, including but not limited to:

• Power distribution
• Air handling units & fan coil units
• 3 phase systems
• Emergency lighting
• Building management systems
• Fault finding & diagnostics
