Job Description:

• Up to 40k plus 2.5k additional payment once qualified as Electrical Approved Person (AP)
• Working Monday to Friday on a single site in central Birmingham, with the following hours:
• Week 1: 7AM - 3PM
• Week 2: 1PM - 10PM
• Week 3: 8AM - 5PM
• One week in six on call, paying £1350 standby per annum, with 4 hours paid if called out
• Call out region covers areas beyond the single site
• Excellent training provided

At ISS, one of the UK's leading Facilities Management providers, we are seeking a qualified Electrician to join our Maintenance team at a client’s corporate banking facility in central Birmingham.

You will work with other engineers to perform planned and reactive electrical maintenance, covering Low and High Voltage Distribution systems, final circuits, standby generators, load shedding equipment, UPS systems, batteries, Earthing, lighting protection, emergency lighting, and security lighting.

Some responsibilities include managing UPS load bank testing of batteries.

*We welcome Electricians looking to gain more experience with high voltage systems.*

Additional tasks involve small mechanical maintenance and fabric jobs, which you will manage autonomously via your tablet system.

We offer excellent training, and you will work in a modern, recently refurbished building with new equipment.

Key actions include:

• Managing electrical PPM, reactive, and proactive works via the helpdesk within specified timeframes to exceed customer expectations.
• Performing other building services maintenance, including fabric, HVAC, and mechanical tasks.
• Responding to callouts as per the rota.
• Controlling contractors, monitoring workmanship, and issuing Permits to Work.
• Ensuring electrical equipment operates to performance standards.
• Evaluating performance and maintaining service records accurately.

Requirements:

• Electrical qualifications and some experience in installation or maintenance.
