Primaire Consulting are currently supporting a market leading manufacturer of valves and system solutions who are seeking a skilled Steam Trap Survey Engineer to join their expert team.

This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge steam system technology, helping industrial clients optimise energy efficiency and reduce operational costs.

Role Overview

As a Field Steam Trap Survey Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive inspections of steam traps within industrial steam systems. You will analyse their performance, identify inefficiencies, and provide expert recommendations to enhance system reliability and minimize steam losses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct onsite inspections to assess steam system installation and identify potential issues.
  • Perform performance testing of steam traps using ultrasonic measuring devices.
  • Accurately record and analyse data, including trap type, size, location, and operating conditions.
  • Troubleshoot steam system inefficiencies and provide expert recommendations to improve performance and reduce energy waste.
  • Communicate findings and solutions effectively with clients and internal teams.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in steam trap surveys or industrial maintenance (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of steam systems and steam trap functionality.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and confidently interact with clients.
  • Full UK driving license required.
