Role

Maintenance Electrician – Permanent Full Time – Salary £44,614 inclusive of call out fee plus vehicle and package – London (Camden/ Holloway/ Peckham/ Camberwell/ Southwark).

We are working with a highly reputable and well known facilities management contractor who provide all round building maintenance to services to clients throughout the UK. Due to continued expansion we are currently looking to recruit a Maintenance Electrician.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a variety of electrical maintenance works to a large supermarket chain throughout the region.
• Complete the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule within agreed timescales and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately.
• Respond promptly and positively to service call requests from the Helpdesk, assess the requirements of the job and carry out repairs as and where necessary.
• Prioritise maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed timescales and response times.
• Conduct emergency lighting tests and repairs.
• Identify non-repairable faults in both plant and machinery as well as general repairs and promptly advise the Line Manager of findings, with recommendations regarding suitable replacement.
• Ensure that compliance documentation is completed and up to date at all times.
• Advise the on-site customer of any repair and maintenance issues likely to affect the smooth running of the site.
• Carry out minor alterations and installations within the individual’s technical competence in accordance with current specifications.
• Complete general repairs and maintenance to customer sites e.g. door repairs, general plumbing tasks.
• Attend training courses as and where necessary and keep personal job skills up to pace with technical developments.
• Part of a 24/7 call out rota.

Person

• Qualified electrically, hold Electrical Level 3 or equivalent, 18th edition and AM2.
• Electrical maintenance experience on commercial sites and ideally general building maintenance/fabric experience – PPM and reactive repairs.
• Live locally and happy with travel throughout the region and further when needed.
• Ability to maintain and repair a wide range of electrical and mechanical equipment, e.g. commercial ovens, dishwashers and microwaves.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Good IT skills.

• Base salary £44,614 inclusive of callout fee.

• Monday – Friday 40 hours per week.
• Callout 1 in 4 – Door to Door Paid when on call.
