Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced Electrician to join a leading facilities management provider in Glasgow. This permanent, full-time mobile role covers Glasgow and the Central Belt of Scotland.

You will be responsible for all PPMs and Reactive Maintenance across all sites, ensuring paperwork is completed and handed to the contract administrator promptly. You will also respond to call-outs outside normal hours and participate in the regional on-call rota.

Qualifications

• Experienced in maintenance and repair of Electrical Systems.
• Excellent fault finding and diagnosis skills.
• Basic knowledge in building fabric repair.
• A recognised electrical industry qualification is required.
• IEE 18th edition qualification is required.
• 2391 Testing and certification of electrical installations is desirable.
• Must have a full clean driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out PPMs and reactive maintenance across sites.
• Complete all relevant paperwork for PPM, reactive and breakdown works and hand to contract administrator promptly.
• Address reactive tasks across sites and highlight improvement opportunities.
• Identify and record plant faults using quotation forms and issue to line manager.
• Ensure faults and defects are remediated swiftly to keep plant in serviceable order.
• Ensure spares are available to carry out maintenance and reactive work.
• Perform POWRA before starting work to confirm it is safe to proceed.
• Prepare and use Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks.
• Attend site for breakdowns or equipment failures outside normal hours (call outs).
• Participate in regional on-call rota.

Job description

Electrician - Glasgow - Salary up to £39,000 DOE

CBW are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrician to join a leading facilities management provider.This is a permanent, full-time mobile role, covering Glasgow and the Central Belt of Scotland.

You will be responsible for all PPM's and Reactive Maintenance across all sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure all PPM is carried out in accordance with the maintenance specification.
• Ensure that all relevant paperwork is completed regarding PPM, reactive and breakdown works and that it is passed without delay to the contract administrator.
• Ensure reactive tasks throughout the sites are completed and be proactive in highlighting areas where improvements can be made.
• Identify and record all plant failures using quotation forms and issue to line manager.
• Ensure that plant faults and defects are swiftly remedied to maintain plant in serviceable order.
• Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out both maintenance and reactive works.
• Undertake Point of Work Risk Assessment (POWRA) prior to starting work evidencing it is safe to
  proceed.
• Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared and used for all tasks undertaken to ensure safe working practices at all times.
• To attend site in response to breakdowns or failures of the equipment outside of normal working hours (call outs).
• Take part in the regional on-call rota.

Person Specification:

• Experienced in maintenance and repair of Electrical Systems
• Excellent fault finding and diagnosis skills a must.
• Basic knowledge in building fabric repair.
• A recognised electrical industry qualification will be required.
• Qualified to IEE 18th edition.
• 2391 Testing and certification of electrical installations.(Desirable)
• Must have a full clean drivers’ licence.

• Experienced in the following is desirable:
• Low voltage electrical distribution system and switchgear,
• Fire alarm systems
• Ventilation and A/C systems
• LTHW heating boilers and pumps

Salary & Benefits:
