Job summary

Manpower in Dudley, West Midlands, is recruiting a Maintenance Electrician for a permanent, four-day week role on a heavy engineering site. You will support reliability and performance of production equipment and site services, offering stability and a strong work-life balance.

Responsibilities include planned and reactive electrical maintenance, fault-finding on motors and drives, and involvement in improvements and upgrades.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned preventative and reactive electrical maintenance
  • Diagnose and rectify electrical faults on plant and production equipment

What We're Looking For

We're interested in electricians from heavy manufacturing, foundry, steel, recycling, quarrying, aggregates, process manufacturing or similar industrial environments. Ideally you'll have experience with:

  • Industrial electrical maintenance
  • Motors and motor control systems
  • Variable speed drives and inverters
  • Fault-finding on production machinery
  • Electrical installations and control panels
  • Preventative maintenance systems

You’ll also have:

  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Experience within an industrial manufacturing environment
  • A proactive and safety-conscious approach
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team

Relevant electrical qualifications are highly desirable. Please note: This position is based within a heavy industrial manufacturing environment involving heat, dust, noise and large-scale production equipment.
