Andy File Associates Ltd. seeks an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a mobile role across Colchester and Chelmsford. The position is permanent, 37.5 hours per week, with a salary of £38,000 per annum and a company vehicle provided.

You will perform planned and reactive electrical maintenance, fault finding, and installations on a range of commercial sites. The ideal candidate will hold NVQ Level 3 in Electrical, AM2 and City & Guilds 2391 – Inspection & Testing, with a strong

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification required.
• AM2 and City & Guilds 2391 – Inspection & Testing preferred.
• Previous experience in electrical maintenance and installation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance.
• Complete PPM, reactive repairs and installation works.
• Fault finding and repairs across electrical equipment.
• Electrical testing and inspection in line with legislation and specifications.
• Work on lighting, distribution boards, pumps, motors, BMS, PAT, HVAC and EV systems.
• Respond to reactive Helpdesk call-outs.
• Participate in an on-call rota.
• Update CAFM records and maintain documentation.
• Ensure SLAs and site health & safety procedures.

About the Company

Our client is an established and growing Hard Facilities Management (FM) provider, delivering specialist engineering and maintenance services across Yorkshire, the Northwest and wider UK.

Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their mobile engineering team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically qualified engineer looking for a varied role where no two days are necessarily the same, working across a diverse range of commercial and public-sector sites.

You will be responsible for planned and reactive electrical maintenance, fault finding, repairs, installations and compliance works, while providing a professional service to customers.

The Role

As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality planned, preventative and reactive electrical maintenance across a variety of customer sites.

• Carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance
• Completing PPM, reactive repairs and installation works
• Fault finding and repairs across a range of electrical equipment and systems
• Electrical testing and inspection in line with relevant legislation and specifications
• Working on systems including:
  • Lighting systems
  • Electrical distribution boards and associated circuits
  • Fire and intruder alarm systems
  • Pumps, motors and control systems
  • Building Management Systems (BMS)
  • PAT testing
  • HVAC systems
  • EV systems
• Responding promptly to reactive call-outs from the Helpdesk
• Participating in an on-call rota
• Providing quotes for installation and repair works, including materials and labour requirements
• Identifying non-repairable issues and providing recommendations to the Contract Manager
• Updating and maintaining accurate records on the CAFM system
• Working in accordance with SLAs, health & safety procedures and site regulations
• Travelling to various customer locations as required
• Maintaining a professional, customer-focused approach at all times

Qualifications

• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Experience maintaining and repairing a range of electrical systems and equipment

• Good IT/PC skills
• A full UK driving licence
