Job summary

Calibre Search is seeking a Mobile Maintenance Electrician to cover Peterborough and Cambridge, performing planned preventive maintenance, fault finding and reactive repairs across a portfolio of retail sites.

You'll maintain electrical systems and catering equipment, update records, and work independently across multiple sites while meeting safety standards; benefits include a competitive package and pension.

Qualifications

• Qualified electrician with NVQ3/City & Guilds 236 parts 1-2 or equivalent.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and AM2/2391 qualifications.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to cover Peterborough/Cambridge region.
• Experience in commercial electrical maintenance including planned and reactive work.
• Familiarity with commercial catering equipment and electronic job management systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled PPM visits and respond to maintenance requests.
• Test, maintain and repair fire alarm systems and emergency lighting.
• Diagnose electrical faults and perform remedial work.
• Maintain commercial equipment including ovens, dishwashers and similar plant.
• Undertake general maintenance tasks including minor plumbing and door repairs.
• Identify faults requiring specialist repairs or replacement.
• Update job records and ensure work is completed safely and on time.

Mobile Maintenance Electrician

Peterborough / Cambridge | £39,825 Package | Permanent

We're looking for a qualified electrician to carry out maintenance across a portfolio of retail sites throughout the Peterborough and Cambridge areas.

The role involves planned preventative maintenance, fault finding and reactive repairs, alongside the upkeep of electrical systems, commercial equipment and general site facilities. You'll be responsible for completing work to the required standard, keeping records up to date and reporting any issues that need further attention.

The role will involve:

• Completing scheduled PPM visits and responding to maintenance requests.
• Testing, maintaining and repairing fire alarm systems and emergency lighting.
• Diagnosing electrical faults and carrying out remedial work.
• Maintaining commercial equipment, including ovens, dishwashers, microwaves and other electrical or mechanical plant.
• Undertaking general maintenance tasks, including minor plumbing, door repairs and flooring.
• Identifying equipment faults that require specialist repairs or replacement.
• Updating job records and ensuring all work is completed safely and within agreed timescales.

What you'll need:

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or Maintenance, City & Guilds 236 Parts 1 and 2, or an equivalent qualification.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• AM2 and 2391.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience in commercial electrical maintenance, including planned and reactive work.
• The ability to work independently and manage jobs across multiple sites.
• Previous experience within retail maintenance would be beneficial, as would familiarity with commercial catering equipment and electronic job management systems.
