Job summary

FPCR is recruiting a Maintenance Assistant in Lockington to support the Site Manager with decoration, upkeep and maintenance of our office and grounds. The role involves painting, decorating, basic repairs and help with site tasks in a hands-on, practical environment.

You will work closely with the Site Manager, undertake a range of duties, and help ensure a welcoming, safe and well-maintained site for staff and visitors. No specialist electrical/plumbing trades required.

Qualifications

• Practical, hands-on approach with ability to perform general maintenance and DIY tasks.
• Experience in painting, decorating, property/building maintenance or similar roles.
• Basic understanding of health and safety requirements for maintenance work.
• Good attention to detail and pride in quality of work.
• Reliable, organized and able to manage tasks independently.
• Flexible and able to undertake varied practical duties.
• Good communication and ability to work with colleagues and contractors.
• Proactive in identifying tasks and taking appropriate action.
• Positive, can-do attitude and team player.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Site Manager with general maintenance and upkeep of Lockington Hall and grounds, focusing on painting and decorating.
• Carry out painting and decorating work throughout the hall and site (walls, ceilings, woodwork, doors).
• Assist with routine checks of the building and report issues to the Site Manager.
• Assist with moving, assembling and positioning furniture, fixtures and fittings.
• Carry out general DIY and basic maintenance tasks, including minor repairs.
• Assist with deliveries, moving materials and site organisation as required.
• Support the Site Manager with other practical tasks and projects.
• Work safely and follow site procedures and instructions.
