Job summary

Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Semi-Skilled Maintenance Craftsperson to support the Estates Maintenance Service across the Trust’s estate. The role offers full-time and part-time opportunities and focuses on reliable maintenance delivery and strong stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities include routine preventative maintenance, reactive repairs and emergency works to building fabric, plant and equipment, with tasks such as emergency lighting testing, lamp replacements,

Qualifications

• Recognised building trade qualification or NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent).
• Passion for maintenance and engineering.
• Right to work in the UK at time of application.

Responsibilities

• Carry out basic, repetitive and unsupervised planned preventative maintenance.
• Perform reactive repairs and emergency works relating to building fabric, plant and equipment.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with service users, managers, contractors and colleagues.
• Carry out tasks such as emergency lighting testing, lamp replacements, plumbing repairs, ceiling tile replacement, basic decoration and joinery.
