Job summary

Radley College is seeking a skilled Carpenter/Joiner to join our Maintenance Team, performing carpentry, joinery and general maintenance across the historic estate.

You will deliver high-quality, client-focused service, undertake repairs and refurbishment works, and support planned maintenance programmes. Hours are 8.00am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday. A recognised Carpentry/Joinery qualification or substantial experience, plus a UK driving licence, are required.

Qualifications

• Recognised carpentry/joinery qualification or substantial practical experience.
• Experience undertaking maintenance, repair and installation work.
• Ability to carry out multi-trade maintenance tasks alongside core carpentry duties.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Sound understanding of health and safety requirements.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out carpentry, joinery and general maintenance tasks across the estate.
• Respond to maintenance requests and support planned maintenance programmes.
• Provide high-quality, customer-focused service across the College estate.
• Undertake repairs, installations and refurbishment works.
• Work as part of a skilled team ensuring buildings remain safe and presented.
