Job summary
Radley College is seeking a skilled Carpenter/Joiner to join our Maintenance Team. The role spans repairs, installations, bespoke joinery, and refurbishment across a historic estate, contributing to smooth facilities operation.
You will provide customer-focused service, respond to maintenance requests, support planned maintenance, and ensure buildings are safe, functional and presented to the highest standards. Hours are 8.00am–4.30pm, Monday to Friday.
Qualifications
- Recognised carpentry/joinery qualification or substantial practical experience.
- Experience undertaking maintenance, repair and installation work.
- Ability to carry out multi-trade maintenance tasks alongside core carpentry duties.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Sound understanding of health and safety requirements.
Responsibilities
- Undertake repairs, installations, bespoke joinery projects and refurbishment works.
- Respond to maintenance requests and support planned maintenance programmes.
- Help ensure buildings and facilities remain safe, functional and presented to high standards.
