Job summary

We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Assistant to support the preparation and upkeep of student accommodation. This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail who enjoys a hands-on position and takes pride in maintaining high standards across residential properties.

You will be responsible for inspecting student bedrooms and communal areas, identifying and reporting maintenance issues, and ensuring accommodation is fully prepared for incoming students.

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspections of student bedrooms, kitchens, and communal areas.
• Identify, record, and report defects, damage, and maintenance requirements.
• Assist with setting up and preparing rooms prior to student arrivals.
• Check furniture, fixtures, fittings, and appliances are present and in good working order.
• Complete room condition reports and maintain accurate records.
• Support maintenance teams by raising and monitoring repair requests.
• Ensure accommodation is clean, safe, and presented to a high standard.
• Undertake basic maintenance tasks where appropriate.
• Assist with furniture moves and general accommodation support duties.
