Job summary

Witherslack Group Ltd. is seeking a maintenance worker to support Queensmead House School, Windsor. You will perform general repairs to keep the school running and drive school vehicles, while ensuring the grounds are well-maintained.

The role includes safeguarding training and being a familiar, friendly face to pupils. A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn are essential traits for this position.

Qualifications

• Have some maintenance skills, either professionally or as a DIY enthusiast.
• Be a team player who helps others and is willing to learn.
• Be confident taking responsibility for buying smaller maintenance items and equipment.
• Willing to undertake Health & Safety and other relevant training.

• Perform general, day-to-day repairs to keep the school running smoothly.
• Drive school vehicles and maintain them in good working order.

Job description

Being a maintenance worker in our school means being part of something big. You’ll be doing your bit to make sure the school building is a great place to be for our young people.

Get out what you put in

You’ll do all the general, day-to-day repairs needed to keep our school up and running, drive the school vehicles and keep them in good working order, as well as making sure the school grounds and garden are kept neat and tidy. You’ll also be a familiar, friendly face, this means our young people will sometimes stop to chat to you so we’ll give you some training on child safeguarding to give you that extra confidence!
