Job summary

Elysium Healthcare Limited is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to help create a well-presented, safe environment for residents and staff at their care services in the Tees Valley area. You will assist with maintenance, decorating and repairs, work with contractors, and support on-site safety and compliance.

• Previous experience within a maintenance role.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rota for emergency maintenance.
• Able to work effectively both in a team and independently.

• Maintain facilities, buildings and equipment to be fit for purpose.
• Carry out regular checks and maintenance.

as a Maintenance Assistant where you will be part of creating a well- presented and safe environment for some of the most vulnerable people in society. As a Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring the services facilities are fit for purpose, gardening and will regularly conduct audits to identify and repair any faults ensuring a safe environment for service users, staff and visitors. Working alongside an established team, you will turn your hand to all maintenance-related tasks, liaising with contractors to support the upkeep of the service. You'll receive all necessary training to get you started and join the dedicated team, where you can make a positive difference and be part of changing lives for the better. • Assisting with ensuring that the service, buildings, facilities and equipment requirements are maintained and fit for purpose
• Utilising good DIY skills to ensure safety of service users is maintained
• Assisting in regular checks and maintenance
• Assisting in the repair and maintenance of all buildings
• Assisting in all decorating
• Liaising with a manager reporting all faults and defects
• Participating in a 1 week retaining on-call rota for the purposes of emergency maintenance
• Coordinating and supporting contractors whilst on site and completing of all paperwork and tool checks
  Have previous experience within a maintenance role
• Work effectively as part of a team and independently
• Show courtesy and respect to residents at all times to ensure that they enjoy the highest quality of service
• Attend and participate in training sessions and staff meetings
