The role rotates between sites in Leicestershire and requires self-management to prioritise daily tasks and ensure timely completion.

Applicants should hold an NVQ Level 2 qualification (or equivalent), have a driving licence and be comfortable with database IT systems.

Qualifications

  • Qualified to NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • Must hold a valid driving licence and be able to travel between sites.
  • Proficient IT skills and experience with equipment databases are advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake repair, servicing and planned preventative maintenance of medical equipment.
  • Work across multiple sites within Leicestershire as part of a rotating role.
  • Exercise safety-conscious approach and effective communication with colleagues at all levels.

Job description

The Medical Physics Equipment Management Service (MEMS) requires one dynamic medical equipment Maintenance Assistant, to take a keyrole within the service. This is a demanding position and you will play a major part in achieving service objectives in a busy and technicallychallenging environment governed by an ISO9001 quality system., The main responsibility of the postholder is to undertake repair, servicing and planned preventative maintenance of medical equipment within the trust. The post is one that rotates between each of the sites within UHL. The successful candidate will have the ability to self manage and prioritise the direction of their day to day activities to achieve timely completion of repair, planned maintenance and associated equipment management tasks. The maintenance role is performed both in-house and at various customer sites throughout Leicestershire. A driving licence and own transport are essential. Applicants must be qualified to a relevant NVQ Level 2, and it is desirable that you have previous knowledge of servicing medical devices. Technical training will be available. You will have a safety conscious approach to your work and the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels. An ability to cope underpressure, be adaptable and multi-task is required. Experience of using an equipment database and associated IT skills will be a distinctadvantage., The postholder is required to work to extremely high standards of workmanship, safety, and accountability within a quality management system
