Job Opportunity: Maintenance Assistant at John Radcliffe Hospital

Equans, a leading energies & services contractor and part of the Bouygues group, specializes in designing, constructing, and maintaining buildings and critical infrastructure globally. We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Assistant to join our Facilities Management team at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.

Role Details:

• Reports to the Operations Manager - Estates
• Perform maintenance tasks as per the PPM schedule and management directives, utilizing appropriate trade skills
• Work independently or within a team to maintain and repair M&E services plant and equipment
• Coordinate effectively with other trade staff and engineers for maintenance, new works, and remedial projects
• Participate in new works, refurbishment, and capital replacement programs
• Work hours: 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday, with flexibility as operationally required

Candidate Profile:

• Basic electrical or mechanical/plumbing knowledge essential
• Experience with PPM and reactive tasks
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• IT literate with good numeracy and written skills
• Hospital environment experience preferred
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation advantageous
