Job summary

Centric Talent is recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Operative to join our client in Bolton (BL3). This hands-on role focuses on keeping the warehouse and factory safe, organised and fully operational.

Requirements include practical maintenance or labouring experience, confident use of hand and power tools, and the ability to lift safely. The position offers long-term temp-to-perm and starts at 6:00am or 7:00am.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a maintenance, labouring or warehouse maintenance role.
• Confident using hand and power tools.
• Experience building or repairing pallets would be advantageous.
• Welding and fabrication experience is desirable.
• Strong DIY or general maintenance skills.
• Physically fit with the ability to perform manual handling and heavy lifting.
• Good understanding of health and safety in the workplace.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance across the warehouse and factory.
• Build, repair and paint wooden pallets.
• Complete basic welding and fabrication tasks where required.
• Undertake general labouring duties across the site.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Report maintenance issues through the correct channels.
• Follow all health and safety procedures at all times.
• Support other departments with maintenance-related tasks when required.

The Role

As a Maintenance Operative, you will support the day-to-day maintenance of the warehouse and factory, ensuring the site remains safe, organised and fully operational. This is a hands-on role that would suit someone with previous maintenance, labouring or DIY experience who enjoys practical work.

• Temporary to Permanent opportunity
• Monthly pay on the 28th of each month

Pay
