Keeping our hotel running smoothly is vital to our guests' experience – as a Maintenance Assistant, you’ll keep everything looking sharp and functioning seamlessly. From simple repairs to proactive planning for the next day, you’ll approach every task with devotion and pride, supporting our high standards.
Your day-to-day
- Repair or replace items around the hotel and refurbish guest rooms to ensure they look great and operate efficiently.
- Organise supplies and ensure equipment is ready for the next day.
- Follow safety guidelines diligently, report incidents, hazardous conditions, or unsafe equipment to your supervisor.
- Maintain safety and cleanliness of areas inside and outside the hotel, including the car park and pool.
- Monitor and implement preventative maintenance to keep everything working efficiently.
- Be friendly and helpful to our guests.
- Keep your supervisor or duty manager informed about supply levels and any issues.
- Maintain a professional appearance in your uniform.
- Be prepared to undertake additional duties as needed by the team.
What we need from you
- At least one year of maintenance or repair experience.
- A high school diploma or relevant vocational training.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and maintenance reporting systems.
- Knowledge of building equipment, hand tools, basic plumbing, electrics, and preventative maintenance procedures.
- Compliance with health and safety laws.
- Fluency in English.
