Multi-Site Maintenance Assistant - Beckton, London

This role involves carrying out minor planned and reactive maintenance works at ASDA stores to pre-determined standards in an efficient and cost-effective manner, while complying with the Company Health and Safety policy.

The position requires working as part of the store team, communicating with site colleagues and management to provide general maintenance services including plumbing, joinery, and painting.

Responsibilities include completing and closing reactive jobs and PPMs via Help Desk using a City supplied device or tablet, and logging all jobs according to agreed protocols.

Reactive Maintenance

Building

• Assist in minor works such as PVC strip curtain replacement, low-level cladding, and store inspections.

Plumbing

• Unblocking drains, urinals, toilets, and sinks; repairing leaks; maintaining plumbing fixtures.

Joinery

• Repairs to walls, floors, fittings, and hardware.

General

• Hanging banners, pictures, notice boards; moving furniture; repairing furniture and fabric; handling ad hoc tasks.

Planned Maintenance

• Basic plant room checks; store cleaning; fire alarm testing; water temperature checks; CSV monthly checks; pallet truck checks.

Skills / Background / Qualifications

• Experience in trades with ability to perform multiple trades; joinery/building experience preferred but not essential.
• Ability to work independently and proactively; physically fit and hands-on.
