Join Stanley House in Ledbury as a Maintenance Assistant, where you will be part of creating a well-presented and safe environment for some of the most vulnerable people in society.

As a Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring that the service's facilities are fit for purpose, including gardening, and you will regularly conduct audits to identify and repair faults, ensuring a safe environment for service users, staff, and visitors.

Working alongside an established team, you will handle all maintenance-related tasks, liaising with contractors to support the upkeep of the service.

You’ll receive all necessary training to get you started and join a dedicated team where you can make a positive difference and help change lives for the better. As a Maintenance Assistant, you will:

• Assist in maintaining the service, buildings, facilities, and equipment to ensure they are fit for purpose.
• Utilize good DIY skills to maintain safety for service users.
• Perform regular checks and maintenance tasks.
• Support in the repair and maintenance of all buildings.
• Liaise with a manager to report faults and defects.
• Participate in a 1-week on-call rota for emergency maintenance.
• Support contractors on-site and complete all necessary paperwork and tool checks.

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Follow systems and procedures effectively.
• Have previous experience in a maintenance role.
• Work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
• Show courtesy and respect to residents at all times to ensure high-quality service.
• Attend and participate in training sessions and staff meetings.

Where you will be working:

Location: Bosbury, Hereford, Herefordshire, HR8 1HB

You will be working at Stanley House, which offers a multidisciplinary approach to long-term care, providing specialized care and therapeutic interventions.

You will collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to support and enable residents to review and adapt to their changing needs. Stanley House offers therapies such as physiotherapy and art therapy, with input from a Professor in Neuropsychiatry and monthly specialist GP clinics.
