Job summary

THE PIG near Bath is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our dedicated maintenance team. You will work as part of a small team to maintain the hotel's functionality, efficiency, and safety, with a focus on preventative maintenance.

You will perform basic repairs, painting and decorating, and may assist the Maintenance Manager with renovations and additional projects. Experience in a similar role and exposure to PAT testing, electrics, plumbing, fire safety, carpentry, and plant room

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role preferred.
• Exposure to PAT testing, electrics, plumbing, fire safety, carpentry, plant room management, health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Carry out basic repairs of damaged facilities and equipment.
• Painting and decorating.
• Assist in coordinating renovations and additional projects with the Maintenance Manager.
• Maintain functionality, efficiency, and safety of the hotel.

Job description

Salary: OTE £14.10 per hour including tronc.

Hours: 35 hours per week over 5 days

We are currently looking for a Maintenance Assistant to join our dedicate maintenance team.

As a Maintenance Assistant you will work as part of a small team, cohesively maintaining the functionality, efficiency, health & safety of the hotel. The ability to manage preventative maintenance is key, along with knowledge and understanding of fire safety.

You will be required to be 'hands on’ expressing a ‘can do’ attitude. Most of the responsibilities will involve basic repairs of damaged facilities, equipment, painting and decorating, at times you may be required to help the Maintenance Manager coordinate renovations and additional projects.

Experience in a similar role is preferred, along with any qualifications or exposure to PAT testing, electrics, plumbing, fire safety, carpentry, plant room management, health, and safety.
