Job summary

Vista Global is seeking an Engineering and Maintenance Accounting Manager in London with hybrid work. The role leads maintenance accounting, close processes, governance, and IFRS compliance, partnering with the Head of Finance and regional teams to drive accurate reporting.

You will supervise two maintenance accountants, champion process improvements, support finance transformation, and ensure robust controls across operators and jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
• 7+ years post-qualification experience in accounting, controllership, or finance management.
• Maintenance accounting experience and leadership track record.
• Strong technical accounting and audit knowledge.
• Excellent communication and judgement.
• Strong Excel skills; ERP and aviation/engineering exposure advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities for maintenance accounting across Vista operators.
• Governance over maintenance-related balance sheet accounts; ensure reconciliations are cleared timely.
• Review and approve journals and outputs from the maintenance finance team.
• Ensure accurate input into management and statutory reporting; support audits.
• Lead and develop a team of two maintenance accountants; coach and set objectives.
• Foster governance, controls, and continuous improvement across maintenance accounting.
