Job summary

The Accounting & Controls Manager - Aerospace will lead the accounting function for allocated Aerospace EMEA sites, ensuring accuracy of US GAAP and local GAAP, and that all compliance requirements are met. This role will have a strong focus on standardization and optimization of financial processes within the zone, rolling out strategic initiatives and working closely with the Controllership (incl.

Global Financial Accounting) and COEs to put in place the optimal structures to drive

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting / Finance; professional qualification preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant work experience in Accounting/Finance.

Responsibilities

• Principal responsibility for all closing, accounting, and reporting for allocated Aerospace EMEA sites.
• Ensure control environment; adherence to US GAAP, SOX and local compliance.
• Statutory reporting and administration; may act as corporate representative on boards.
• Partner with Operations to execute business strategies and build business acumen.
• Support strategic projects such as tax, restructuring, M&A, payroll and system implementations.
• Drive optimization via standardization, simplification, and automation of financial processes.
• Support accounting and controls improvements and transitions.
• Manage and develop a team of finance professionals; foster high performance.
• Meet budgeted costs and run a cost-effective organization.
• Support audits (statutory, tax, customs, internal).
• Maintain ethical standards at all times.
