Job summary

The Best Connection is recruiting a Maintenance Engineer for a busy operation based on Brigg Road, Scunthorpe. You will maintain and support eight production lines, respond quickly to breakdowns, and carry out planned and preventative maintenance to keep production running smoothly.

Offered pay is £18.50 per hour with Monday–Friday shifts from 06:00 to 15:00, overtime opportunities, weekly pay, and immediate starts for suitable candidates.

Qualifications

• Maintenance engineering experience is required.
• Strong mechanical maintenance skills.
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and supporting eight production lines.
• Reacting quickly to breakdowns and minimizing downtime.
• Carrying out planned and preventative maintenance.
• Ensuring equipment runs safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintaining and supporting 8 production lines

What We're Looking For

• Previous Maintenance Engineering experience
• Strong mechanical maintenance skills
• Ability to work independently and under pressure
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements
• Positive, proactive attitude
• Experience within crushing, screening, and material handling environments
• Reliable and committed approach to work

Desirable (Not Essential)

Welding experience

Counterbalance FLT Licence
