Job summary

Severn Trent is seeking a Network Construction Engineer to join our Midlands team. You will operate network assets on-site, support the Construction Manager, and deliver Mains Renewal schemes within a defined region, coordinating with Lead Operatives to ensure safe, compliant execution.

The role requires significant on-site construction activity, risk management, and working to budget. A full driving license and National Water Hygiene / NRSWA qualifications are required.

Qualifications

• Full driving license and ideally National Water Hygiene and NRSWA.
• Good communication skills and ability to build successful working relationships.
• Exposure in identifying risks and opportunities.
• Character, positivity and caring attitude are important.

Responsibilities

• Undertake pre-site checks with the Network Construction Manager and assist in risk and contingency documentation.
• Communicate with Network Control at critical stages of each scheme; support Operatives during construction stages.
• Carry out valving due diligence and chlorination/sampling of mains and services per SOPs.
• Oversee on-site activities including flushing, cleansing, and valve operations.
