Job summary

Exalto Consulting is recruiting a Mainframe Automation & Batch Scheduling Analyst for a hybrid role in Bradford. You will maintain and improve automation and batch environments that support core services, taking ownership of workload scheduling and batch processing in a mainframe environment.

You will use IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS) to design, manage, and optimise complex batch workflows, develop scripts, and resolve issues to keep critical processes running on time and data correct.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS) is essential.
• Strong knowledge of mainframe batch processing and JCL.
• Experience in scripting and automation for batch workflows.
• Familiarity with z/OS and TSO ISPF.
• Proven ability to diagnose and resolve batch/scheduling issues.

Responsibilities

• Own automation, workload scheduling, and batch processing within a mainframe environment.
• Design, manage and optimise complex batch workflows using IWS.
• Develop scripts and manage job schedules to ensure timely, accurate data handling.
• Resolve scheduling issues to minimise operational disruption.
