Job summary

Exalto Consulting is seeking a Mainframe Automation & Batch Scheduling Analyst for a hybrid role based in Bradford, West Yorkshire (2 days onsite per week). The role focuses on maintaining and improving mainframe automation, workload scheduling, and batch environments.

You will design, manage, and optimise complex batch workflows using IBM Workload Scheduler, develop scripts, and resolve issues to ensure reliable operations.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS) in a mainframe environment.
• Proficient in REXX scripting and CLIST programming for automation.
• Strong knowledge of JCL and batch processing in z/OS environments.

Responsibilities

• Own automation, workload scheduling and batch processing in a mainframe environment.
• Design, manage and optimise complex batch workflows using IWS.
• Develop scripts, manage job schedules and resolve scheduling issues.
• Ensure critical processes run on time with accurate data handling and minimal risk.
