Royal Mail Hemel Hempstead Mail Centre is hiring a Mail Sorter to join our busy operation. You’ll stand for long periods, move mail through sorting lines, unload vans, and sort parcels and letters, sometimes operating machinery.

It's a shift like no other centre you will cover various indoor roles in a warehouse environment. On your feet and keeping up the pace. Changing from one task to another along the sorting chain, you could be unloading mail from vans, moving it around in trolleys, sorting parcels and letters manually or operating machinery. A mail centre can process over a million items in a shift and you'll be a valuable part of making that happen. And you take it in your stride. Please note: For candidate search purposes, roles offering between 35-37 hours per week are listed as full-time. However, any role under 37 hours per week will be classified as part-time in the employment contract.
As a Mail Sorter, you're expected to handle election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.
