Job summary

Royal Mail Group is hiring a Mail Sorter at Aberdeen Mail Centre for a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role is 10 hours per week, with weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday) across shift blocks, including daytime and overnight windows.

You will handle mail, unload from vans, move items in trolleys, sort letters and parcels manually or with machinery, and help keep the centre running 24/7. Competitive hourly rate and benefits apply.

Hours: 10 hours per week, working Saturday and Sunday, working between SAT-15:15 and SUN-07:00 and SAT-19:30 and SUN-14:00

It's a shift like no other centre you will cover various indoor roles in a warehouse environment. On your feet and keeping up the pace. Changing from one task to another along the sorting chain, you could be unloading mail from vans, moving it around in trolleys, sorting parcels and letters manually or operating machinery. A mail centre can process over a million items in a shift and you'll be a valuable part of making that happen. And you take it in your stride. Please note: For candidate search purposes, roles offering between 35-37 hours per week are listed as full-time. However, any role under 37 hours per week will be classified as part-time in the employment contract.
