Job summary

Laing O'Rourke is seeking a skilled Welder for its Grimsby area projects. You will perform fabrication and welding to required standards, read drawings, follow method statements, and work safely within company policies. You will contribute to timely project delivery and maintain equipment and records.

Applicants should have MAG/MMA welding experience and NVQ Level 3 in Welding or equivalent. You must be able to work independently or as part of a team, communicate clearly, and maintain

Responsibilities

• Carry out fabrication and welding to required quality standards.
• Work safely following company procedures and safe systems of work.
• Read, understand and implement Task Sheets, Method Statements and Safe Systems of Work.
• Assess risks and maintain safe working practices at all times.
• Use the correct tools, equipment and PPE for the task being undertaken.
• Maintain plant, equipment and tools in good condition.
• Inspect and assess damaged equipment and accurately report defects.
• Complete timesheets, records and documentation accurately and on time.
• Liaise with Supervisors and Management regarding work requirements and priorities.
• Contribute proactively to safety initiatives, including Hazard and Near Miss reporting.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
• Attend relevant training and development activities as required.
