Job summary

The Independent Recruiter Hub is seeking an experienced Machinist for our Chesterfield workshop in the S43 area. You will operate and set machinery, read engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances to produce high-quality components.

The ideal candidate holds a valid FLT licence, has manufacturing experience, and can work both independently and as part of a team in a busy environment with a strong emphasis on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• FLT licence required.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience as a machinist in manufacturing or engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set machinery safely and efficiently.
• Machining components to required specifications and tolerances.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Carry out quality checks on finished components.
• Use workshop tools and measuring equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Work as part of a team to meet production targets and deadlines.
• Follow all company health & safety procedures.
