Job summary

Siemens Energy Lincoln is seeking an Apprentice Machinist to support production by reading drawings, programming and setting CNC machines, and using manual machines. You will work in a fast-paced environment to learn machining principles, assist in setup and operation, and check part quality alongside a skilled team.

The role emphasizes a strong interest in manufacturing, excellent attention to detail, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade 4 or equivalent, including Maths, English and Science.
• Eager to learn, good attention to detail and able to work in a team.
• Keen interest in manufacturing and engineering and committed to developing skills.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical drawings and program, set and operate CNC machines.
• Set up and operate machinery, check the quality of parts.
• Learn machining principles and techniques while working with experienced machinists and engineers.
