Job summary

Adecco are recruiting for reliable Machine Operatives and Printing Assistants to join our busy team based in Crewe CW1. These roles are hands-on, with 3 x 12-hour shifts across Sunday to Friday on a rotating days/nights pattern. Temporary to permanent employment is available.

You will monitor production, load materials, ensure quality, and maintain a safe, organised workspace while following 5S and health & safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, printing, packaging or converting.
• Experience operating machinery and/or printing presses is advantageous.
• Good mechanical aptitude and basic fault-finding skills.
• Ability to read and follow job specifications, production instructions and quality requirements.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality work.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Proactive and flexible in workload and shifts.
• Physically capable of lifting and standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Set up, prepare and operate machinery per production specs.
• Monitor machine performance throughout production.
• Load/unload rolls using lifting equipment.
• Inspect finished products against specifications.
• Record production information and maintain paperwork.
• Maintain a clean, safe, 5S workspace and follow procedures.
• Report faults or quality concerns promptly.
• Assist with printing presses setup, operation and changeovers.
• Prepare materials, clean press components and help with fault-finding.
• Ensure waste is handled per procedures and production area is stocked.
• Adhere to safety, quality standards and company policies.
