Job description

A great opportunity to work for a leading FMCG manufacturer as a Machine Operator / Production Operative on a modern, automated, and clean site in Tewkesbury. 12-week trial leading to a permanent contract for the right candidate.

PAY: from £12.60 - £13.17 per hour, dependent on role

HOURS: 37.5 hours per week, 5 days over 7. Shift work - flexibility required

Responsibilities

• Use appropriate material handling equipment to move product and materials from and to designated locations to support bulk activities in an efficient and safe manner.
• Operate machinery/equipment to meet targets.
• Perform quality checks on the product.
• Collect and record data from the production line accurately.
• Maintain strict hygiene standards in the production area.
• Package the product.
• Conduct and adhere to cleaning and allergen control regimes.
• Follow all policies and procedures related to product age and quality.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have a manufacturing, engineering, or technical background, but transferable skills are accepted. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable industry experience.

• Good numeracy and literacy skills.
• A committed team worker with a strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
• IT skills – competent in the use of basic software.
