Job summary

Nicholas Associates Group Limited is seeking a Machine Operator in Barnsley (S72) to join a growing manufacturing team. The role pays £12.71 per hour, with Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm shifts, offering full training and ongoing development within manufacturing.

You will operate a variety of machinery, including sewing machines, and support the wider production team to ensure efficient, high-quality output. A hands-on, team-focused environment awaits.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in production/manufacturing.
• Experience operating machinery in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Operating machinery, including sewing machines, safely and efficiently.
• Setting up, adjusting and monitoring machines during production runs.
• Carrying out general production and manufacturing duties as required.
• Performing quality inspections to ensure products meet required standards.
• Following company procedures and health & safety guidelines at all times.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Supporting colleagues and contributing to a productive team environment.
