Nicholas Associates Group Limited is seeking a Machine Operator in Barnsley (S72) to join a growing manufacturing team. The role pays £12.71 per hour, with Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm shifts, offering full training and ongoing development within manufacturing.

You will operate a variety of machinery, including sewing machines, and support the wider production team to ensure efficient, high-quality output. A hands-on, team-focused environment awaits.

Stafforce are recruiting experienced Machine Operators for our client based in Barnsley. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a production or manufacturing background who enjoy working in a hands-on environment and are confident operating machinery.

The Role

As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating a variety of machinery, including sewing machines, while supporting the wider production team to ensure products are manufactured efficiently and to high quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating machinery, including sewing machines, safely and efficiently
• Setting up, adjusting and monitoring machines during production runs
• Carrying out general production and manufacturing duties as required

What We’re Looking For

Essential

• Previous experience working within a production, manufacturing, or industrial environment
• Experience operating machinery within a manufacturing setting
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work

• Reliable, hardworking, and able to work well as part of a team
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn new processes

Desirable

• Full UK Driving Licence
• FLT (Forklift Truck) Licence or previous FLT experience
• Willingness to undertake further training and gain additional certifications
