Job summary

Nicholas Associates is recruiting a permanent Machine Operator near Broxtowe to support first-class manufacturing facilities. You will set and operate manufacturing equipment, assist other operators, perform quality checks and adjust tooling as required.

The role offers stable, direct employment with training and progression opportunities, an 37.5 hour week, day shift with potential occasional later shifts; night shifts may be introduced in future with enhanced pay for those hours.

Qualifications

• Experience in setting/operating manufacturing machinery.
• Competent with basic computer tasks.
• Experience with measuring tools (verniers/calipers) a plus.

Responsibilities

The afternoon shift is not regular and approx. working every 6-8 weeks

Note

In future, we anticipate the requirement to work night shifts - so anyone taking on the role must be prepared to do these hours: Mon-Wed (Apply online only)) and Thurs (Apply online only)) - paid at £17.36 per hour should this occur.

Overview

Working in first class manufacturing facilities for a company that have production sites across the world we now require an additional Machine Operator to join the team.

This is a permanent role employed directly with the company who can offer stability due to the products that they make and real training and progression.

Role Overview

You will play a key role in supporting manufacturing by setting and operating manufacturing equipment and machinery, assisting other Machine Operators, carrying out quality duties, adjusting/replacing tooling and carrying out general manufacturing requirements.

Desired Experience

The ideal candidate / Machine Operator may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:

• Previous experience of setting/operating manufacturing machinery with a production/manufacturing environment.
• Competent with computers to a basic level
• Any measuring skills - using verniers/callipers etc.
• Good attention to detail Physically fit
