Job summary

EmTech is seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our busy production team in Sparkford, Somerset. You will set up and operate Press Brakes, CNC Routers and Laser machinery to produce high‑quality components safely, accurately and efficiently.

You will work with mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium and plastics, read technical drawings, check sizes with measuring tools, and ensure parts meet required standards.

Qualifications

• Experience operating Press Brakes, CNC Routers and/or Laser machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Good knowledge of measuring with verniers, protractors and tapes.
• Experience in a manufacturing/production environment recommended.
• Safety conscious and quality focused.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Press Brake, CNC Router and Laser machinery.
• Load materials, check size and thickness, and prepare production runs.
• Read and interpret drawings and job specifications.
• Inspect parts, measure to tolerance and document results.
• Maintain housekeeping, health and safety, and on-time delivery targets.
