Job summary

DS Smith Plc is seeking a Conversion Machine Technician L1 for Fordham, Newmarket on a 12-hour shift pattern (days/nights) starting at 06:00 or 18:00. The role supports the Operator in setting and running conversion machines and ensuring product quality in a fast-paced packaging production environment.

You will work closely with teams, follow DS Smith standards, and participate in continuous improvement to meet customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Work in line with DS Smith standards including Health & Safety and Quality
• Able to communicate and work well within a team
• Able to understand and achieve objectives
• Document good ways of working and work to these as standard
• Able to work on your own initiatives
• Some experience of manufacturing and shift work

Responsibilities

• Assist the Operator in setting and running machines
• Help achieve quality standards on all produced work
• Produce high quality product in a timely manner to meet customer requirements
