Job summary

Pertemps Birmingham Commercial is recruiting for a Machine Operator / Fabrication Operative in Tile Cross on a short-term contract running until Christmas. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, 14:00–20:00, with a pay rate up to £16.50 per hour. You will operate in a Robot Cell, support fabrication processes and help ensure quality and safety standards. Immediate start available for suitable candidate. Birmingham industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Machine Operator, Fabricator, Production Operative or similar.
• Experience in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment.
• Experience operating a band saw.
• Experience around robotic machinery / robot cells.
• Good Health & Safety understanding in manufacturing.
• Ability to follow technical instructions and production requirements.
• Responsible and dependable approach to work.
• Tack welding / MIG welding experience is advantageous but not essential.

The Role

Working as part of the manufacturing operation, you will be responsible for operating machinery, supporting production and ensuring work is completed safely and to the required quality standards.

• Working within a Robot Cell and supporting automated production processes.
• Operating a band saw safely and efficiently.
• Supporting the Machine Operator with day-to-day production requirements.
• Working with metal components and fabrication processes.
• Ensuring machinery and equipment are operated correctly.
• Carrying out quality checks on finished and in-process work.
• Following Health & Safety procedures and maintaining a safe working environment.
• Keeping the work area clean, organised and efficient.
