Job summary

Pertemps Birmingham Commercial is recruiting for a Machine Operator / Fabrication Operative in Tile Cross on a short-term contract running until Christmas. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, 14:00–20:00, with a pay rate up to £16.50 per hour. You will operate in a Robot Cell, support fabrication processes and help ensure quality and safety standards. Immediate start available for suitable candidate. Birmingham industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Machine Operator, Fabricator, Production Operative or similar.
• Experience in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment.
• Experience operating a band saw.
• Experience around robotic machinery / robot cells.
• Good Health & Safety understanding in manufacturing.
• Ability to follow technical instructions and production requirements.
• Responsible and dependable approach to work.
• Tack welding / MIG welding experience is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery within a Robot Cell and support automated production.
• Safely operate a band saw and maintain quality.
• Support production with day-to-day requirements.
• Maintain safe working environment and perform quality checks.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Assist colleagues and supervisors as needed.
• Tack welding experience would be advantageous but not essential.
