Job summary

Imperial Recruitment Group is seeking a Machine Operator in Sunderland to contribute to production targets, maintain quality, hygiene, and health and safety standards on the line.

The role requires basic numeracy, a Level 1 qualification, and about 1 year in an operations environment; day and night shifts, permanent contract, £27,000 per year plus shift allowance.

Qualifications

• Sound knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• 1 year experience in an Operations production environment, FMCG preferred.
• Knowledge of site HSE processes and application.
• Understanding of CWS and continuous improvement activities.
• Basic numeric and literacy skills.
• Level 1 Qualification.
• Basic Hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Meet OE, SKU adherence, wastage minimisation, quality, H&S and overhead cost control targets.
• Maintain housekeeping and hygiene in line area.
• Demonstrate teamwork and a positive attitude.
• Operate equipment per training standards and health & safety rules.
• Input into and take ownership of CWS activity on the line.
• Strive for excellence in all aspects of the line area.
• Undertake rudimentary maintenance tasks, changeovers of equipment.
• Support others in equipment and CWS activities within designated line area.

Machine Operator

Location: Sunderland

Salary: £27,000 per annum plus shift allowance

Hours: Day and night shifts

Type: Permanent

Duties

• Contribute to ensuring that factory targets are met with regard to OE, SKU adherence, Wastage minimisation, Quality, Health and Safety and Overhead Cost Control.


• Ensure that Housekeeping and Hygiene standards are met and maintained within designated line area.


• Consistently demonstrate a high level of behavioural performance with respect to attitude, contribution and teamwork.


• Operate equipment in accordance with training standards and best practice complying with Health and Safety rules and regulations and Policies and Procedures.


• Input into and take ownership of all CWS activity within designated line area.


• Take ownership and consistently strive for excellence in all aspects within designated line area.


• Undertake rudimentary maintenance tasks, product and size changeovers of equipment within designated line area.


• Provide specific support and guidance when required for the development of others on equipment and CWS activities within designated line area.

Requirements
