Job summary

E3 Recruitment is seeking an experienced Machine Operator for a market-leading manufacturer in York. The role offers premium overtime rates, a modern fast-paced environment, and clear progression after an initial period.

You will join a team producing a variety of products and supporting site expansion. The successful candidate will operate CNC press brakes and guillotines, work from engineering drawings, and adhere to strict customer specifications while handling heavy lifting with care.

Qualifications

• Experience in an engineering and manufacturing environment.
• Experience operating machines, preferably CNC equipment.
• Comfortable with steel and heavy lifting.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Operate a range of machines as part of a manufacturing team.
• Set up and run CNC press brakes and guillotines.
• Ensure products meet customer specifications and requirements.
• Carry out heavy manual lifting when required.

An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Machine Operators to join a market-leading manufacturer based in York. This role offers premium overtime rates and the chance to work within a fast-paced, modern, and dynamic environment. The company has recently benefited from significant investment and site-wide modernisation, supporting continued expansion. As a result of sustained business growth, they are now looking to strengthen their team with the addition of some Machine Operators.

Key Responsibilities of the Machine Operator.

• Working as part of a manufacturing team, responsible for producing a variety of different products.
• Setting and operating a variety of machines (CNC Press Brake & Guillotines).
• Ensuring that all products and components adhere to customer specifications and requirements.
• Carrying out heavy manual lifting.

Working Hours of the Machine Operator.

• Monday- Thursday: 07:30-16:30.
• Friday 07:30-12:30.

Minimum Experience Required.

• Previous experience working within an engineering and manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience operating machines.
• Comfortable working with Steel and carrying out heavy lifting.
• Comfortable working from engineering drawings.

In Return, the Machine Operator Will Receive.

• Hourly Rate: Up to £15.50 Per Hour
• Early Finish on a Friday.
• Overtime paid at a premium.
• Salary increases after 12 weeks.
• Holiday Entitlement: 28 Days (Including Bank Holiday
